Each year, Verendrye Electric Cooperative awards three scholarships to area high school seniors or college students. In 2012, Verendrye increased the scholarship amounts from $500 to $1,000. Students must fill out an application to be eligible. The deadline to apply is normally around the middle of February each year. Winners are typically announced in the April issue of North Dakota Living.
